第十三条 自然人从出生时起到死亡时止,具有民事权利能力,依法享有民事权利,承担民事义务。

第十四条 自然人的民事权利能力一律平等。

第十五条 自然人的出生时间和死亡时间,以出生证明、死亡证明记载的时间为准；没有出生证明、死亡证明的，以户籍登记或者其他有效的身份登记记载时间为准。有其他证据足以推翻以上记载时间的，以该证据证明的时间为准。

Article 13 A    natural person acquires civil status from birth until death, and enjoy civil law rights and assume civil law obligations in accordance with law.

Article 14 All natural persons are equal in civil status.

Article 15 The date of birth and date of death of a natural person are determined by the date recoded on his birth or death certificate, or, if there is no birth or death certificate, by the date entered in the household registration or other valid identification registration system. Where there is evidence sufficient to invalidate the date recorded in the above documents or entered in the above systems, the date stated stated in such evidence shall  prevail.

此部分要点有六：①民事权利能力与民事行为能力②民事权利与民事义务③记载④推翻⑤以……为准⑥户籍登记。

1.“民事权利能力与民事行为能力”。

争议很大的一处。德国、法国、英国对应的概念分别是：capacity for rights/disposing capacity(德)，civil status/civil capacity（法），passive    capacity/active capacity(英)。如果不与国际接轨，直译为civil rights capacity和civil acts capacity也是不少译本通常做法。

2.“民事权利与民事义务”。大多译本会直译为civil right and civil obligation。Civil right容易让人与美国著名的Civil Rights Movement的“民权”混淆，建议翻译为legal right in civil matters或者civil law rights。

3.“记载”(于法律文件)。Record或enter都是不错的词汇。

4.“推翻”（日期）。有译本采用invalidate或者overturn。Invalidate在法律英语中意为 to take away the legal force or effectiveness of; to annul,as a contract.两者近义词，皆可。

       5.“以……为准”。Prevail妥当。

    6.“户籍登记”。Household registration妥当。
