这两个词在合同中出现的频率比较高，一不留神，容易理解错。

(1) in case of可翻译成“如果”，表示假设，相当于“if”,可由in the event of替换；

(2)in the case of可翻译为“在......情况下”，"就....."，表示客观陈述。二者区别很大，因此需要我们在翻译过程中格外注意。
