Gender bias is undermining our social fabric and devalues all of us. It is not just a human rights issue; it is a tremendous waste of the world’s human potential. By denying women equal rights, we deny half the population a chance to live life at its fullest. Political, economic and social equality for women will benefit all the world’s citizens. Together we can eradicate prejudice and work for equal rights and respect for all.

性别偏见正破坏我们的社会结构，贬低我们所有人的价值。这不仅仅是一个人权问题；这是对世界人类潜能的极大浪费。通过剥夺妇女平等的权利，我们实际上是在剥夺一半人口享受充实生活的机会。实现妇女在政治、经济和社会上的平等，将惠及全球每一位公民。我们可以一起消除偏见，为所有人争取平等权利和尊重。

 

THE TARGETS

Everyone can help to make sure that we meet the Global Goals. Use these nine targets to create action for gender equality.

Target 5.1 END DISCRIMINATION AGAINST WOMEN AND GIRLS

End all forms of discrimination against all women and girls everywhere.

目标 5.1 消除对妇女和女童的歧视

消除对世界各地所有妇女和女童一切形式的歧视。

 

Target 5.2 END ALL VIOLENCE AGAINST AND EXPLOITATION OF WOMEN AND GIRLS

Eliminate all forms of violence against all women and girls in the public and private spheres, including trafficking and sexual and other types of exploitation.

目标5.2 消除针对妇女和女童的一切暴力和剥削。

消除公共和私人领域针对所有妇女和女童的一切形式的暴力行为，包括贩运妇女女童及性剥削和其他类型的剥削。

 

Target 5.3 ELIMINATE FORCED MARRIAGES AND GENITAL MUTILATION

Eliminate all harmful practices, such as child, early and forced marriage and female genital mutilation.

目标 5.3 消除强迫婚姻和切割生殖器

消除一切有害做法，例如童婚、早婚、强迫婚姻以及切割女性生殖器官。

 

Target 5.4 VALUE UNPAID CARE AND PROMOTE SHARED DOMESTIC RESPONSIBILITIES

Recognize and value unpaid care and domestic work through the provision of public services, infrastructure and social protection policies and the promotion of shared responsibility within the household and the family as nationally appropriate.

目标 5.4 重视无酬照护并促进共同的家庭责任

通过提供公共服务、基础设施和社会保护政策以及在适合本国国情的情况下推广家庭内部分担责任，承认并重视无酬照护和家务工作。

 

Target 5.5 ENSURE FULL PARTICIPATION IN LEADERSHIP AND DECISION-MAKING

Ensure women’s full and effective participation and equal opportunities for leadership at all levels of decision-making in political, economic and public life.

目标 5.5 确保充分参与领导和决策

确保妇女充分、有效地参与政治、经济和公共生活等各级决策并享有平等的领导机会。

 

Target 5.6 UNIVERSAL ACCESS TO REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH AND RIGHTS

Ensure universal access to sexual and reproductive health and reproductive rights as agreed in accordance with the Programme of Action of the International Conference on Population and Development and the Beijing Platform for Action and the outcome documents of their review conferences.

目标 5.6 普遍享有生殖健康和权利

确保根据《国际人口与发展会议行动纲领》、《北京行动纲要》及其审查会议成果文件商定的普遍享有性健康和生殖健康及生殖权利。

 

Target 5.7 EQUAL RIGHTS TO ECONOMIC RESOURCES, PROPERTY OWNERSHIP AND FINANCIAL SERVICES

Undertake reforms to give women equal rights to economic resources, as well as access to ownership and control over land and other forms of property, financial services, inheritance and natural resources, in accordance with national laws.

目标 5.7 经济资源、财产所有权和金融服务的平等权利

根据国家法律进行改革，赋予妇女平等的经济资源权利，以及对土地和其他形式财产、金融服务、继承权和自然资源的所有权和控制权。

 

Target 5.8 PROMOTE EMPOWERMENT OF WOMEN THROUGH TECHNOLOGY

Enhance the use of enabling technology, in particular information and communications technology, to promote the empowerment of women.

目标 5.8 通过技术促进妇女赋权

加强利用赋能技术，特别是信息和通信技术，促进妇女赋权。

 

Target 5.9 ADOPT AND STRENGTHEN POLICIES AND ENFORCEABLE LEGISLATION FOR GENDER EQUALITY

Adopt and strengthen sound policies and enforceable legislation for the promotion of gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls at all levels.

目标 5.9 通过并加强性别平等政策和可执行的立法

通过并加强健全的政策和可执行的立法，以促进性别平等并增强各级所有妇女和女童的权能。

 

THINGS TO DO

能做些什么

Women earn 10 to 30 per cent less than men for the same work. Pay inequality persists everywhere. Voice your support for equal pay for equal work.

同样的工作，妇女的工资比男性低10%到30%。男女薪酬不平等无处不在，请为同工同酬发声。

 

Find a Goal 5 charity you want to support. Any donation, big or small, can make a difference!

找一个性别平等的慈善机构。无论多少，任何捐款都能带来改变！

 

Be aware of gender stereotypes. Recognize them, avoid them and educate others about them.

警惕性别刻板印象。识别它们，避免它们，并向他人传输关于它们的知识。

 

Stand up against harassment. Whenever you see or become aware of harassment, whether in the workplace, streets, home or the online space, raise your voice against it.

对抗骚扰。无论在工作场所、街头、家中还是网络空间，一旦看到或察觉到骚扰，应立即予以反对。

 

Find female mentors/leaders. Ensure that some of your role models or mentors are women. There’s a lot you can learn from women in positions of authority.

Share the workload at home. Sharing domestic responsibilities ensures the work burden doesn’t fall only on one person and instills the value of gender equality and essential life skills in children.
