不同行业的“基层员工”可能含义上也不尽相同，整体而言，“基层员工”常表示“一线工作人员”，也就是“非管理岗”的员工。英文里常见的译法有3种：

1. grass-roots employee

公司定期召开职工代表大会,根据职工代表的提案意见，着力为基层员工办实事，广泛听取职工代表及广大干部员工的意见建议。

Hold employee representative conferences on a regular basis, to strive to resolve problems for grass-roots employees, and extensively listen to opinions and suggestions of employee representatives and the majority of management officers and employees.

2. junior employee

公司重视来自基层员工的声音，建立通畅的双向渠道，及时回应员工诉求，全力营造包容、坦诚的民主沟通环境，提高公司的民主管理水平。

With an emphasis on the voice from junior employees, the Company has established smooth two-way channels and responded to employees’ demands in a timely manner, striving to create an inclusive, frank and democratic communication environment and improve its democratic management.

3. primary-level employee

报告期内，公司进一步强化员工对健康管理的重视，将健康体检覆盖至基层管理者及基层员工。

During the reporting period, Hengyi Petrochemical paid more attention to the health management of employees. The Company extended physical examination to primary-level managers and employees.
