在翻译合同时，我们通常会遇到so+动词以及to do so这两个有关so的常见结构，对于so+动词，有的译友将之直接处理为“如此+动词”，但这是一种偷懒的翻译方法，其实so+动词结构在不同的语境下，翻译的方法特别灵活，我们应以简洁的方法把so的意思表达出来，而对于to do so，为了把意思表达明确且符合法律语言的风格，我们不妨采用重复被替代的词语。例句分别如下：

so+动词

1. If the Non-Disposing Party elects to purchase the interest to be transferred at fairmarket value, the Non-Disposing Party shall state in the Acceptance Notice thatit so elects. 

参考译文：如果非转让方以公平的市价购买拟转让的股权，应在接受通知中表明此等意向。

2. Each Party and any of its affiliates shall maintain the secrecy of all ProprietaryInformation that may be so disclosed or furnished to it by the other Party and its affiliates.

to do so
