between...and 和 from...to 在合同中的使用非常广泛，近期我们在校对文件的过程中，发现这两个短语有用错的情况，我们在文件中发现，有的译友把自2001年至2016年，翻译成了between 2001 and 2016，很明显是不合适的，因此今天特别提出来仔细讲一下二者之间的区别。我们知道，二者的共同点是：都可表示一个区间，在句中做状语。

但是二者的区别却很大，下面我举一个例子，帮助大家理解二者之间的关系：

(1) the numbers from 0 to 10; 以及

(2) the numbers between 0 and 10

(1)、(2)的区别就很大，前者是从0到10的数字，包括0和10，而后者是0和10之间的数字，不包括0和10。

除了在表示区间的时候有区别之外，二者的区别还在于各自有各自使用的语境，

请看如下例句：

between...and

1. any conflict between A and B; any difference between A and B

Should any conflict exist between the provisions of this Agreement and the Site Agreement or the Building Rights Agreement, the order of priority is :

from...to
