derogation(derogate)指（法律、合同、条约等）部分废除。也指后来制定的法律规定限制原先法律的适用范围或强制力，从而导致其部分废除。

The partial repeal or abrogation of law by a later act that limits its scope or impairs its utility and force.

antiquation[Latin]多指用新法置换过时旧法的方式废除或取消某部法规。

abrogate(abrogation)主要指对下属机构签发的命令、规则的废除；或经立法废除法规（整部法律被废止或宣告失效）或习俗等。

To abolish (a law or custom) by formal or authoritative action; to annul or repeal.

Annul

annul(annulment)译为“废除”“取消”“法定注销”。指终止某事务的存在或宣布其无效或从未真正存在过，尤指法院对不合法婚姻作无效宣告，使该婚姻如同从未存在过。

英文释义

To annul is either to end something existing or to declare that it never really existed. A judicial ecclesiastical declaration that a marriage is void.

Rescind

rescind(rescission)常用于合同的撤销以及经同级或上级机构予以撤销或废除规定等。

Cassation

cassation指大陆法国家的中上级法院审查下级法院判决的一种方式。因对判决适用法律的正确性有异议而提交上级法院审查的案件，若上级法院确认异议成立，则以判决不正确为由予以撤销。

Cassare, to quash or nullify. It was usually used in reference to voiding an agreement, law, or writ.
