Accumulation

n.

1、积累；积聚。

2、资本增益。指出售主要资产而产生之利益或将资产用于投资所带来的增加收益或兼指两者。

3、(根据遗嘱或契据条款而产生的)资金利息或收入的积累。遗嘱执行人或其他财产受托人聚集所收到的租金、股息以及其他收入并将其作为资本进行投资，把产生的收入作为新的资本再次进行投资，如此循环不断。

accumulation主要指同类事物，如金钱、资本、收益等的逐渐积累，而非一下或突然的聚集且此种积累多为无序或无组织关联。

英文释义：

1. The increase of a thing by repeated additions to its esp, the increase of a fund by the repeated addition of the income that it creates.

2. The concurrence of several titles to the same thing.

3. The concurrence of several circumstances to the same proof.

4.  The retention of dividends for future distribution.

5. Insurance. An increase in the principal sum insured for, effective upon renewal of a policy, without a change of premiums.

Collection

n.

收款;托收。

在美国《统一商法典》[U.C.C.]第4篇中，它指用于付款的票据[item]在付款银行[payor bank]中转移的过程。

collection常可与 accumulation交替使用，但它所指的累积则常指一种有序或有组织的聚合, 如: An accumulation of many specimens is needed when one is preparing a scientific collection。 

英文释义：

Banking. The process through which an item(such as a check)passes in a payor bank.

Aggregation

n.

显而易见的组合;互不作用的组合。

该词用于专利法中，是指将各个部分或要素显而易见地组合为一项发明，故其不能获得专利；亦指将各个部分组合在项发明中，但各部分彼此互不发生作用，也不导致新的结果。

aggregation常指具有定凝聚力的某种集合体，但其关联性却赶不上 collection，如An industrial empire is often an aggregation of unrelated enterprises。 

英文释义：

1. Criminal procedure. The prosecution's combining of charges such as larceny and possession of contraband so as to raise the seriousness of the offense being charged. 

2. Patents. A set of parts that do not cooperate in structure or function, and are therefore unpatentable as an invention; the opposite of a combination.

3. Hist. A patent examiners label for a claimed invention that may or may not be a patentable combination but whose claims do not clearly explain how the parts cooperate to produce a new or unexpected result.

Conglomeration

n.

1、集会;集合；人群。

2、(教区、教堂中的全体)教徒;公众。

3、(罗马天主教会的)枢机主教团委员会指罗马天主教枢机主教团的几个常设委员会，每个委员会负责教会事务的一个部分。亦指处理临时教务的临时委员会。

conglomeration则常指许多不同来源或不同地区甚至矛盾的事物的集合体，如: a conglomeration of many different kinds of people from various countries and cultures。

A corporation that owns unrelated enterprises in a wide variety of industries.
