execute在法律英语中的含义有以上四层，但是在合同里面，尤其在to execute or cause to be executed这个句式里面，95%的可能都是“签署”的意思。

例Article 14 A securities firm conducting securities business money lending shall sign and execute a loan contract with the customer.

execute的过去分词形式executed在法律英语中也比较常见，有表示execute已经完成的意思，除此之外,executed 还有“转让财产（或权利）”的意思。

executed可以有多种搭配，常见的有executed agreement （ 协议）/compromise （和解）/contract （合同）/consideration （对价）/gift（赠与），此时的executed表示已完成或已履行的意思；executed deed/insurance policy/trust/will，此时的 executed 表示因完成相关手续（如签字或登记）而生效。executed还有一些特殊的搭配需要注意:executed contract有时表示即时履行的合同，即订立后马上履行的合同；executed estate指既定地产权，表 示已经为权利人享有的确定的地产权，其存在不依赖于以后某种情况或事件发生与否executed note表示已开出的期票，指已经签字并已经交付的期票；executed remainder表示既定剩余地产权，指剩余地产权现时已经授予，但要将来才能享用。

例 Any person contracting or dealing with the Company in the ordinary course of business shall be entitled to rely on any written or oral contract or agreement or deed, document or instrument entered into or executed as the case may be by any two of the Directors acting jointly on behalf of the Company and the same shall be deemed to be validly entered into or executed by the Company as the case may be and shall, subject to any rule of law, be binding on the Company.
