Encroach是指侵占(某人的时间);侵犯(某人的权利);扰乱(某人的生活等),或土地与他人土地接壤的人,通过多年使用土地,逐渐推进土地边界,并主张【所有权】(Encroach means that someone whose land borders onto yours gradually pushes forward the boundary and claims ownership through having used it for years .)。如:The new institutions do not encroach on political power.
(Trespass is used when people, livestock or vehicles are on your land without permission.)如:They were trespassing on private property.
