英文合同中对于合同履行的期间通常会约定解除和终止的条款。如买卖合同中，买房旅行付款义务，卖方履行交货义务，此项合同完成，即合同终止。合同终止，双方基本已经履行完毕，因此基本不存在未决的权利义务。但人为终止由于发生在合同执行过程中, 合同中就终止后的事项就需予以声明。

合同的终止(Termination)与合同的解除(Rescission)有所不同：

合同的终止：基于合同履行完毕、生效裁决或者合同当事人达成一致，而导致合同法律关系归于消灭。

All rights and obligations between the two Parties also terminated. The uncompleted obligations shall not continue to perform. There is no other economic disputes between the two Parties.

甲、乙双方的权利义务关系终止，双方没有完成的义务不再继续履行，双方不存在任何其他经济纠纷。

This agreement and the covenants, representations, warranties, and agreements contained herein shall terminate upon the earlier of the mutual agreement of the parties or the Expiration Date.

本协议及其包含的契约、陈述、保证及协定可在双方达成一致之时或协议期满之日终止（以较早者为准）。

Upon the termination of this Agreement, this Agreement shall thereupon become void and of no further force and effect, and there shall be no liability in respect of this Agreement on the part of any party hereto or any of its directors, officers, partners, stockholders, employees, agents, advisors, representatives or Affiliates.

本协议终止之时，本协议便告失效。协议各方或各方董事、高级职员、合伙人、股东、雇员、代理人、顾问、代表或附属公司均不对本协议负责。

合同的解除：单方法律行为，由于主客观情况的出现，导致不可能或不必要履行合同时，当事人一方可根据法定或约定，通知另一方解除原合同法律关系。

Party A shall have the right to terminate this Contract if Party B commits any breach of the obligation under this Contract.

乙方违反本合同项下任何义务，甲方有权终止合同。

法律规定的合同解除的几种情形：

有下列情形之一的，当事人可以解除合同（《合同法》第94条）

（一）因不可抗力（Force Majeure）致使不能实现合同目的;

（二）在履行期限届满之前，当事人一方明确表示或者以自己的行为表明不履行主要债务（not perform its main debt obligation）;

（三）当事人一方迟延履行主要债务（delay the performance of the main debts），经催告后在合理期限内仍未履行;

（四）当事人一方迟延履行债务或者有其他违约行为（actions in breach of the contract.）致使不能实现合同目的;

（五）法律规定的其他情形。
