赌债（gambling debt）为非法之债，不受法律保护，根据我国《民法通则》（自2021年1月1日起废止）和最高人民法院《关于人民法院审理借贷案件的若干意见》的规定，违反法律或者社会公共利益的的民事行为无效。出借人明知借款人是为了进行非法活动而借款的，其借贷关系不予保护，合法的民间借贷关系受法律保护。赌博是国家法律严令禁止的行为，赌债不受法律保护。

债权债务关系是一种合同关系。违反法律、行政法规的强制性规定的合同无效。赌博行为违反了我国治安管理法等法律明令禁止赌博的规定，也违反了民法公序良俗的基本原则，同时损害社会公共利益等法律的规定，属于违法行为。

具备下列条件的民事法律行为有效：

A civil juristic act is valid if the following conditions are satisfied:

（一）行为人具有相应的民事行为能力；the person performing the act has the required capacity for performing civil

juristic acts;

（三）不违反法律、行政法规的强制性规定，不违背公序良俗。

赌债即属于非法债务，不需要偿还。the act does not violate any mandatory provisions of laws or administrative

regulations, nor offend public order or good morals.
