虐待部属罪，是指滥用职权，虐待部属，情节恶劣，致人重伤或者造成其他严重后果的行为。

《刑法》第443条规定：

滥用职权，虐待部属，情节恶劣，致人重伤或者造成其他严重后果的，处五年以下有期徒刑或者拘役，致人死亡的，处五年以上有期徒刑。

Whoever abuses his power or maltreats a subordinate, if the circumstances are so egregious as to cause serious injury to another person or other serious consequences, shall be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not more than five years or criminal detention; if the death of another person is caused, he shall be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not less than five years.
