without prejudice to这个短语和subject to...的用法几乎相同，没有subject to...那么强硬，without prejudice to后常跟指代某项法律条款的名词或权利，指不影响或不损害其规限的事物或权利即可。

在中文里，without prejudice to常译为“在不损害……的原则下”“在不影响……的情况下”“……不受影响”“不妨碍……”“不规限……”，等。

如

Without prejudice to the generality of Rule 1, a will shall not be affected if.... (Laws of Hong Kong, Cap.30,“Wills Ordinance”, Art.5[1] Rule 4)

在不影响规则1的一般原则下﹐如有以下情形﹐遗嘱不受影响……

Without prejudice to the rights of the Attorney General every complainant or informant shall be at liberty to conduct the complaint or information respectively and to have the witnesses examined and cross-examined by him or by counsel on his behalf.
