in the event that 和 in the event of 的含义相当于"when"，表示“如果，如果.........发生”，但是比when正式，如：

1.In the event of return of the investment funds and their interest, payment of principal and income, and allocation of residual property by the Fund to the investors, Party B shall merely be responsible for returning the funds according to the original delivery route of the raised assets.

本基金向投资者退回投资款项及其利息、支付本金、收益、分配剩余财产时，乙方仅负责将资金根据募集资产的交付路径原路返回。

2.In the event that either party hereto fails to comply with the terms of conditions of this Agreement and within 90 days after the written notice is issued by the other party hereto, fails to remedy such failure, the Party giving notice may, forth with, notify the other Party of the matter in question and terminate this Agreement.

如任何一方未能履行本协议规定的条款或条件，并在收到另一书面通知之后90天内未对其不履行进行救济，发出通知的一方，可立即通知另一方终止本协议。

3.The FSA will want to be reassured both that the foreign bank’s home supervisor takes a robust approach to liquidity and that British creditors are not disadvantaged in the event of insolvency.

FSA将要求重新确认该国外银行所属国家在流动性方面是否监管得力，同时确保英国的债权人在该行破产的情况下不会存在劣势。

4.In the event that Licensee is accused by any third party of illegal exploitation or infringement in the course of exploitation of Know-how, Licensee shall inform Licensor of the claim without delay.

如果第三方指控被许可方非法使用或侵权，被许可方应立即向许可方提出索赔要求。
