与Banks and Other Financial Institutions相关的财报术语还有一个同业存放，它指的是指公司吸收银行或非银行金融机构的本外币存款，用英文可以表示为deposits from banks and other financial institutions。“同业存放”虽然也是负债类科目，但它核算企业（银行）吸收的境内、境外金融机构的存款。核算时，应当按照存放金融机构，分别“本金”、“交易费用”等进行明细核算。一般属于资产负债表下的流动负债（current liabilities）项目。
