平仓（close position）是期货交易的一个过程，指的是期货买卖的一方为对销以前买进或卖出的期货合约而进行的成交行为。平仓是在股票交易中，多头将所买进的股票卖出，或空头买回所卖出股票行为的统称。

更为详细的来讲，期货交易的全过程可以概括为建仓、持仓、平仓或实物交割。建仓也叫开仓，是指交易者新买入或新卖出一定数量的期货合约。在期货市场上买入或卖出一份期货合约相当于签署了一份远期交割合同。如果交易者将这份期货合约保留到最后交易日结束他就必须通过实物交割或现金清算来了结这笔期货交易。然而，进行实物交割的是少数，大部分投机者和套期保值者一般都在最后交易日结束之前择机将买入的期货合约卖出，或将卖出的期货合约买回。即通过一笔数量相等、方向相反的期货交易来冲销原有的期货合约，以此了结期货交易，解除到期进行实物交割的义务。这种买回已卖出合约，或卖出已买入合约的行为就叫平仓。

平仓可以分为对冲平仓和强制平仓。对冲平仓是期货投资企业在同一期货交易所内通过买入卖出相同交割月份的期货合约，用以了结先前卖出或买入的期货合约。强制平仓是指仓位持有者以外的第三人（期货交易所或期货经纪公司）强行了结仓位持有者的仓位，又称被斩仓或被砍仓。
