原译文：

The investments of a foreign investor in China , the profits it earns and its other lawful rights and interests are protected by Chinese law.

原文“中国境内” 应译成“ within the territory of China”，而不能按原译文那样译成“in China”，这里“领土”之意没有译出。原文“受中国法律保护”应理解为：“应受中国法律保护”，这里shall应译出。

参考译文：

例2原文：

在中华人民共和国境内，禁止外币流通，并不得以外币计价结算。

Notes:

原文“在中华人民共和国境内”应译成“within the territory of the People’ s Republic of China” 。原文“禁止外币流通”应理解为“应禁止外币流通”才更符合原意来翻译。
