Tax作名词通常表示“税收”，作动词通常表示“征税”，但是查阅香港法律法规会发现，tax在法律领域还有其他含义，即表示“审定（诉讼费用）”。下面以香港法律法规为例，了解一下tax的新用法：

1. 凡凭借任何条例，在一名仲裁员或公断人席前或在一个由任何条例或根据任何条例设立的审裁处或其他团体席前的法律程序（非属在高等法院的法律程序）的讼费或附带费用，是可在原讼法庭予以评定时，本命令的以下条文，即第7(4)条规则、第8D条规则(第(4)款除外)、第8E条规则、第9D(1)及(4)条规则、第13及13A条规则、第14至16条规则、第17(1)条规则、第17A及17B条规则、第18条规则、第21条规则（第(4)款除外）、第21A、21B、21C及21D条规则、第22至26条规则、第28A条规则（第(4)及(7)款除外）、第32A及32B条规则及第33至35条规则，对评定该等讼费的法律程序具有效力，一如其对评定在高等法院的法律程序的讼费或其所引致的费用的法律程序具有效力。

Where by virtue of any Ordinance the costs of or incidental to any proceedings before an arbitrator or umpire or before a tribunal or other body constituted by or under any Ordinance, not being proceedings in the High Court, are taxable in the Court of First Instance, the following provisions of this Order, that is to say, rule 7(4), rule 8D (except paragraph (4)), rule 8E, rule 9D(1) and (4), rules 13 and 13A, rules 14 to 16, rule 17(1), rules 17A and 17B, rule 18, rules 21 (except paragraph (4)), 21A, 21B, 21C and 21D, rules 22 to 26, rule 28A (except paragraphs (4) and (7)), rules 32A and 32B and rules 33 to 35, shall have effect in relation to proceedings for taxation of those costs as they have effect in relation to proceedings for taxation of the costs of or arising out of proceedings in the High Court.（来源：《高等法院规则》第62号命令）

2. 凡有申请按照第24号命令第7A条规则或第29号命令第7A条规则提出，要求根据本条例第47A、47B或47D条作出命令，则除非区域法院另有指示，否则所寻求的命令所针对的人，有权获付他的关于该申请的讼费及附带费用，并有权获付他因遵从任何应该申请作出的命令的讼费，而该人可在给予申请人为期7天的关于他拟如此行事的通知后，进行该等讼费评定，如在讼费评定后4天内该等讼费仍未缴付，该人可签署关于该等讼费的判决。

Where an application is made in accordance with Order 24,rule 7A or Order 29, rule 7A, for an order under section 47A,47B or 47D of the Ordinance, the person against whom the order is sought shall be entitled, unless the Court otherwise directs, to his costs of and incidental to the application and of complying with any order made thereon and he may, after giving the applicant 7 days’ notice of his intention to do so, tax such costs and, if they are not paid within 4 days after taxation, sign judgment for them.（来源：《区域法院规则》第62号命令）
